After a quadrillian years in hell?

It is not eternal, as long as a soul makes amends and helps others out, they can work their way up to higher realms, but to those that want to keep them there, they tell them there is no way out, don't you know hell is eternal. God did not create the hells, we do, why would God torture us for zillions upon zillions of years, what kind of God would need something from us so bad, that if He/she didn't get it, would resort to such an atrocity?
